Dear people harassing artists in the Korra fandom about whitewashing, you need to stop.

Do you even hear yourself? Do you realise how ridiculous you are being? There are so many things WRONG with what you are doing and more importantly how you are doing it. You’re acting like a child and I’m going to tell you why.

Do you notice something right off the bat?

Korra’s not black, numb nuts. She’s from the Southern water tribe, a tribe based off various aspects of Inuit, Aleut, Tlingit, Eyak, Haida, and other native tribes. You know why I know that?

I’m Eyak, Eagle clan specifically. I’m not full-blooded, not even half-blooded, but the last full-blooded Eyak, Chief Marie, died nearly four years ago so that means about fuck shit in today’s society.

So you know what? You need to stop acting like you’re being fucking personally victimized when someone draws a character and shades them in a way you don’t like, because you know what? It has nothing to do with you.

The artist drew and shared their work with you, for your benifit, and you don’t even have the decency to be fucking grateful?

The way someone colors a picture does not give you the excuse to go around and pawn off all your pent up aggression and hate on them. You have constructive criticism fine, tell them privately and be polite about it. You DO NOT post shit on tumblr about it.
